Getting Started with IcingVault

📦 Installation & Setup

Installing IcingVault

Log into your WordPress admin dashboard
Navigate to Plugins → Add New
Click Upload Plugin and select the IcingVault .zip file
Click Install Now and then Activate
You’ll see IcingVault appear in your WordPress menu

First-Time Configuration

After activation, go to IcingVault → Dashboard
Complete the welcome wizard to set up your account
Enter your business name and preferences
Choose your plan (Free, Pro, or Enterprise)
Click Start Using IcingVault

🗂️ Creating Categories

Categories help you organize your equipment logically. You can create unlimited levels of subcategories.

How to Create a Category

Click Categories in the purple navigation menu
Click the + Add Category button
Enter your category name (e.g., “Cookie Cutters”, “Cake Pans”)
If creating a subcategory, select the parent category
Optionally choose an icon for visual identification
Click Save Category

💡 Example Category Structure:
Cookie Cutters → Animals → Farm Animals → Cows
Cookie Cutters → Seasonal → Christmas → Santa
Cake Pans → Round Pans → 6″ Round

✨ Adding Equipment

Add Your First Item

Click Equipment in the navigation menu
Click + Add Equipment
Fill in the equipment details (Name, SKU, Category, Manufacturer, Size, etc.)
Set quantity, purchase price, and current value
Choose condition (New, Good, Fair, or Poor)
Upload images (up to 2 images on Free plan, 10 on Pro)
Click Save Equipment

🔍 Search & Filter

Find equipment instantly with powerful search and filtering options.

Search Methods

Quick Search: Type in the search box to find by name, SKU, or manufacturer instantly
Category Filter: Click a category to see only items in that category
Condition Filter: Filter by New, Good, Fair, or Poor condition
Price Range: Show items within a specific value range
Date Added: Find recently added or older equipment
